Data we collect

When you sign in with Discord, we receive basic Discord account details needed to identify you and process your application. This can include your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and server membership details that Discord makes available during authorization.

When you submit an application, we store the answers you provide, selected servers, review status, and administrator actions needed to operate the application process.

Colossus bot — server activity data

Colossus is a Discord community bot operated by Dislace that provides activity statistics, leveling, economy, and community-management features for the servers that install it. When a server installs Colossus, the bot processes Discord events for that server to compute aggregated activity statistics: message counts per member and channel, voice-session durations, reaction counts, member joins and leaves, thread and scheduled-event activity, and — only where the server has enabled them and Discord has approved the corresponding intent — presence/game activity time and message-content-derived metrics (character and word counts, emoji counts, word-frequency indexes).

Colossus stores aggregated counters, not conversations. Message content is processed transiently in memory to derive those metrics and is not stored; we keep no message text, no message archives, and no per-message records. Presence is stored as time-per-status totals, never as a log of when you were online. All statistics live in an isolated database dedicated to that server, hosted on Dislace-operated infrastructure in the European Union.

Data collected by Colossus is used solely to provide the features of the installed server (statistics, leaderboards, leveling, rewards). It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train machine-learning or AI models.

Colossus bot — transparency, opt-outs, and deletion

Each server's administrators control exactly which signals Colossus collects through per-signal capture settings, and can exclude specific channels or categories from statistics entirely. The bot provides a capture-disclosure command that lists, live, every signal currently enabled on that server, so tracking is always disclosable to members.

You can limit what Colossus observes about you: setting your Discord status to invisible (or a server disabling presence capture) stops presence-time accrual — unobserved time is never counted; you can hide your profile card from other members with the profile-privacy command.

You can request deletion of your Colossus data at any time. Server-level erasure tooling removes a member's statistics from that server's database on request, and retention windows configured by the server automatically delete older activity data. For deletion or access requests, contact contact@dislace.com or ask an administrator of the server in question.

How we use data

We use your data to authenticate you, review applications, prevent duplicate submissions, manage access to Dislace, and keep the community safe.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use application answers for advertising profiles.

Service providers

Dislace relies on Discord for authentication and community access. Website hosting, analytics, logs, and security tooling may process technical data such as IP address, browser details, request time, and error reports.

Those providers process data only as needed to run, secure, and improve the service.

Retention

We keep account and application records for as long as needed to operate Dislace, handle moderation, resolve disputes, enforce rules, and meet legal obligations.

Colossus activity statistics are retained according to each server's configured retention window, after which they are automatically deleted. When a server removes Colossus and asks us to deprovision it, that server's database is deleted.

If you leave the community or want your data reviewed, contact us. Some records may remain where needed for safety, audit, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Your choices

You can revoke Discord authorization from your Discord account settings. Revoking authorization may limit your ability to sign in, apply, or access community features.
